Chad Gates, a recent Army graduate, returns to his beloved Hawaii with his surfboard, eager to spend his days riding waves, hanging out with friends, and being with his girlfriend. However, his father has different plans for him. Desiring Chad to work at the Great Southern Hawaiian Fruit Company, his father hopes his son will follow in his business footsteps. Reluctant to give up his carefree island life, Chad decides to take a different path.
