Details

Don and Bridget Cardigan are struggling with their finances, as Don has been unemployed for a year and Bridget has been a housewife for most of her life. With the couple being close to $300,000 in debt, Bridget decides to find a job that offers some benefits. Reluctantly, she takes a janitorial position at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.

Upon starting her job, Bridget becomes fascinated with the large amounts of worn-out money that is being shredded. This leads her to devise a plan to steal the old money before it gets destroyed. She enlists the help of two co-workers, Nina and Jackie, who also have their own financial struggles.

Together, the women begin smuggling the shredded money out of the bank, hiding the stolen cash in their cleaning supplies. As they amass a considerable amount, they face various challenges and risks, including avoiding the suspicion of an FBI agent who is investigating strange activity at the bank.

While initially driven by their financial troubles, the trio soon discovers the thrill and power that comes with their illegal actions. However, as the stakes rise and the FBI closes in on their operation, they must decide if the benefits of the money are worth the potential consequences.
